2006? Oh yeah that was a while ago haha. I saw them after support Laura I think it was, and absolutely floor me! Such an amazing set and I became an unabashed fan after that night. It’s a shame they’ve been absent from the scene for so long now.

give ‘em another chance Dom. i’ve never seen a bad show of theirs. they can set a venue on fire (not literally, i think). and yes, as per previous comments, they are about 120 years old collectively.

as far as other aussie post rock is concerned, a great, but now broken up band out of Melbourne, was Season.

And you can get all their songs for free off their website, aren’t they nice boys.

Well this post was made before we saw them. They didn’t really suit the bill and didn’t play as well as I thought they would. But it was still fun to watch all the scenesters run away! Haha.

Having said that, I still have faith that these guys would be great live in a better venue with the right vibe, so I will check them out again at another time.
