Third albums are often the most interesting albums in a band’s catalogue. Lacking the excitement of  a debut and the scrutiny of a sophomore effort, third albums tend to see a musician either revert to their original winning formula, throw caution to the wind or showcase their artistic growth.

‘All I Want’ is the new single from Sarah Blasko’s upcoming third album As Day Follows Night and while it won’t win her any new fans, at least it’ll keep the old ones happy. Bjorn Yttling’s (Peter, Bjorn & John) production leaves the song clear and polished without sterilising the music and the theremin is a nice touch.

Let’s hope Blasko’s newie revisits the quiet intensity of her previous releases without the crashingly boring bits.

I found her first album enjoyable but dull in the second half. Her second album only had one boring song, Amazing Things. She seems to be getting more interesting as she goes along, and this song reinforces this idea for me. I love it.

I think ‘amazing things” is the most interesting song Sarah has written. So intense. The clip is fantastic too

This new song is a beauty! Good work Sarah, can’t wait to hear the album! And I thought Amazing Things was a ripper of a track as well, is slow but beautiful, one of the highlights of the last album, simple and honest.

The new album is on track. No turning back is a good stomping song. It’s got you know what. As far as clips go, Sarah Blasko and animation shouldn’t be in the same sentence, but no turning back tells a good story

I’ve never been a Sarah Blasko fan, actually, until I heard this song on Rage. Now I’m looking forward to buying the album!
So she’s won at least one new fan with this tune. 🙂
