Sick Puppies: ‘All The Same’ Clip

Although we haven’t actually posted about the Sick Puppies yet, I think that it’s still important to post their clip for ‘All The Same’ which has over 2 million views on YouTube and has been gaining significant media attention in Australia.  The film clip tells the true story of Juan Mann who walks around Sydney offering people free hugs.  It’s an interesting clip because on one hand it demonstrates the (often unfounded) trepidation we have towards others, but on the other hand the film clip shows how compassionate and loving people can be.  On top of that, ‘All The Same’ is actually a pretty cool tune. The Sick Puppies are originally from Sydney but now reside in LA.

Love it. I’ve never actually met the Free Hugs man but this is a smart use of actual footage for the video clip. Nice one.

  2. liv says:

  3. Pix says:

man why havent i heard these guys.

it unfortunately fits in a vein that nickelback and friends have well and truely ripped to peices, but clearly this doesnt deserve such a grouping… top stuff.

    free hugs all round

  4. Jack says:

That is the best video clip I have seen in a long time. Made even better by the fact I’ve been to the area it was filmed countless times! I wish I’d seen the hugs man :(

  5. Viola D says:

Heeeey! I’ve totally hugged that guy….!

I saw the Sick Puppies a loooong time ago, and to be honest I didn’t like them. At all. Judging by this song, they have evolved a LOT. They sound completely different – and that’s a good thing. Still not sure if its something I’d be into, but I’m still very impressed by their sound.

  6. Daniel says:

man thats sik footage of sumthin dat aint fake how good is it for a clip to mean so much

  7. Ed says:

Um, totally can’t get into this Nickleback/Hinder try-hard emotional pop-rock no matter how good the clip is. The music comes first peoples! Love this blog though, just keep it free of pop-rock. P.S loved you post about the rogue traders, I hate them too.

  8. Nick says:

Good song, insane clip it gives me a great warm feeling inside, makes me feel good to be alive. Hate Rogue Traders Too
