Van She – ‘Changes’ (G.L.O.V.E.S remix) (mp3)

Listen to

G.L.O.V.E.S is the one-man remix/electronic side project of Yama from Damn Arms. His first few remixes that came out were pretty whack but recently he has taken a more disco flavour to his reworkings, his original G.L.O.V.E.S track (see hisspace) and reversedly, Damn Arms‘ new track. It’s only fitting then that Van She (non tech)’s catchiest new track from their album is Yama’s latest remix output and it sounds like a winner.

Lenka – 'The Show' video

I’m a fan of Lenka‘s work back from her Decoder Ring days. She’s been away travelling the world writing songs and signing deals with Epic records and recording and .. making a video. This clip shows a side of Lenka that hasn’t been really shown on her public work and I’m not too sure if I like it that much. I thought the song would end somewhere at 2:45 and the video is a bit too aimed at the Saturday morning Video Hits audience. I hope she’s got something else out soon because I’m a fan of her voice.

The Devoted Few – “The Death Of Us” (mp3)

Listen to

The Devoted Few had a real catchy song on the radio a few years ago called Sleepless of an album of the same name, but they never followed it up with a second single that I remembered. The second album came and went. They now have readied a third album and a fresh taster single off it. This self funded effort was recorded with Scott Horscroft at Sydney’s Big Jesus Burger studio, a favourite for Sydney bands, and then sent to the US for mixing. I’m sure a tour is to follow soon.
