It’s hard to overstate how good these guys are. I’ve seen them twice now and both times they had the rooms’ fullest attention; the crowd hung on to every word and even get hysterical . I’m not exaggerating here, when they play The Darkest Side, girls in the front row weep. Whether they like it or not, they have created a very strong following over a very short time. It won’t be long before the rest of the international indie blogosphere fall in line and praise this band, I’m just glad I got here fairly early.

word. i saw them recently at the Northcote Social Club and they are hells talented. Awesome, joyous opener with intense banjo-ness brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

I hope they lean more towards the thigh-slappin and jangly songs in the future than the more subdued sounds like on their EP. The Darkest Side is great, but too much of the same-same sorrow-sound is less than exciting.

    One of my favorites atm.
