The newie from King Gizzard runs as a decent guide to swamp, sleaze and primate mating. The follow up to ‘Black Tooth’, ‘Dead Beat’ grovels with post-pubescent rich pickings: reverb abuse, indulgent solos, happy happy Reatard – stuff that generally makes for a good time. Expect a bit more slag + limbs at gigs. Some small woman barreling around the front at the last show kindly expectorated into my face…so if you’re into that kinda thing, I guess it’s an even better reason to get along to a show.
The guys will be launching their EP Willoughby’s Beach in October with dates in Melb + Syd, see the poster below for details.
