I’ve always seen morph suits to be more of a comic relief than a creative outlet. Thought people had moved on to better things but apparently the spandex sperm suit is still kicking goals. Lucy Mc Rae, a self professed ‘body architect’ (responsible for the hectic tubing in Robyn’s Indestructible vid) directed this clip with the help of 20 architecture, fashion, media and interior design students from RMIT.
If you couldn’t pick apart all that synchronized stuff, the clip was Mc Rae’s interpretation of ‘Rock Eisteddfod’. Not far off from my memories of Rock Eisteddfod which also involved superflous amounts of lycra and moments of wtf.
‘Fat Monk’ is the first single from Let Music & Bodies Unite. The vid is heaps of fun…although as most have pointed out, the album cover is a lot less pastel.
